On behalf of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 2025 edition of ICEAA and IEEE-APWC, which will be held in Palermo from 8th to 12th September 2025. 

Palermo is the capital of Sicily, located at the foot of Mount Pellegrino and the mountain range called Conca d’Oro, a fertile land where citrus fruits and vines have been grown for centuries. Always a crossroads of civilizations, between East and West, Africa and Europe, Palermo has preserved traces of all the cultures that have settled there, through language, customs, architecture or gastronomy. Its thousand-year history, and even more the atmosphere that one breathes today, contribute to the charm of this city of a thousand contrasts. 

The hotel hosting the conference is close to the heart of the historic center of Palermo, which is designated as the “Quattro Canti,” centered on the square of the same name, with its four main districts: Alberghiera, Capo, Cala and Kalsa. The most beautiful sites of the city are located there, first of all the Cappella Palatina, an Arab-Norman jewel inside the sumptuous Palazzo dei Normanni. Then we find the majestic sites of the 12th century Duomo, the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, the Church of the Martorana, the Church of San Cataldo, the museums of the Pinacoteca Nazionale or the Museo Archeologico Nazionale. A visit to the city deserves several days, to fully enjoy its atmosphere and the many places that are worth a visit, not to mention its surroundings with an exceptional Basilica in Monreale, or the coast and its beautiful beaches.

Palermo is a one-hour flight from Rome and can be reached with a short 2-3-hour flight from most European cities (e.g., Milan, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris and London). The airport is 35 km from the city centre, which is about half an hour by car or an hour by bus or train, and is served by all major airlines.
